People see your sign before your door, your team or your website. Backlit built-up letters, single- or double-sided light boxes, LED neon, totems: we design, manufacture and install the sign that suits your building, your brand guidelines and your budget.
Everything happens in our workshop in Zaventem: cutting, assembly, LED wiring and quality control. We also handle the formalities: façade survey, a scale mock-up of the sign in place, and support with the signage permit when your municipality requires one. Installation is carried out by our own teams, across Belgium, often in a single day.

Do I need a permit to put a sign on my façade?
In most Belgian municipalities, yes, once the sign is visible from the public road. The rules vary from one municipality to the next: dimensions, projection, lighting, sometimes colours. Blackbee prepares the application with you, with a dimensioned drawing, a photograph of the façade and a scale mock-up showing the sign in place. You submit it, the municipality rules on it. Nothing goes into production before the answer comes back.
How far away will my sign still be legible from the street?
Letter height decides that, not the width of the panel. Before drawing anything, we look at where your customers arrive from: on foot from the pavement opposite, by car coming down the street, or from the car park. The scale mock-up, set on a photograph of your façade, shows the result from those points. You approve what you will actually see.
An LED has failed in my light box. Does the whole thing need replacing?
No. A light box comes apart, and the LED modules, the power supply and the faces are replaced separately. We open it, test the power supply, then change whatever is at fault. The fault often lies with the power supply rather than the LEDs themselves. Since the cutting files are kept from one order to the next, a damaged face is remade identically, without redrawing it.
I am taking over a business with a sign already in place. Can we keep it?
Often yes. The box, its structure and its power supply are reused when they are sound: we remake the faces with your name and renew the lighting if needed. We come and open the box on site, then tell you what can be salvaged and what cannot. The municipal application is generally simpler when the dimensions do not change.
What happens to my sign if I move?
It comes down. We dismantle it, seal the fixing points and make good the façade, which the lease almost always requires. An illuminated sign is rarely refitted as it stands elsewhere: the next façade has different dimensions and its own permit constraints. The files, though, are kept. The new sign works from the same drawing, to the measurements of the new building.
