Wall decoration in a workplace is rarely there only to decorate. It separates zones, absorbs noise, marks the entrance to a department, welcomes visitors or reminds the people who work there every day what the company stands for. So we begin by understanding how the room is used, before we talk about images.
Technically, the surface decides everything: a smooth painted wall, bare concrete and textured partitions do not take the same films. Where there is any doubt we test adhesion on site, and choose between adhesive film, a mounted panel or stretched fabric accordingly.

Can any wall take a printed wall covering?
No. The surface has to be sound, dry and flat: a smooth painted wall, clean plaster, a new partition. Render, exposed brick, tiling with recessed joints and damp walls are not suitable for custom wallpaper. Those cases are handled with mounted panels, which stand in front of the wall without being glued to it. We look at the wall before proposing anything.
Does the wall need preparing before you arrive?
Yes, almost always. Holes are filled, marks left by fixings are sanded down, and a freshly plastered wall needs a primer. Fresh paint has to be dry right through before anything is glued over it. That work is done before we come, by you or by your contractor. After the site visit, we tell you exactly what needs doing.
How long does a wall covering last?
That depends on traffic more than on the material. Indoors, out of direct sun and away from anything that rubs against it, it suffers very little. What damages it is trolleys and chairs knocking into it, doors slamming, and harsh cleaning. In a narrow corridor or a hall, the lower part of the wall is protected with a panel. A meeting room and a logistics corridor do not call for the same finish.
And when I want to change it?
It comes off. The covering is peeled away, the residual glue washed off, and the wall repainted if needed, so allow for that making good rather than counting on an untouched wall. Mounted panels come down without touching the surface at all, which makes them practical in rented premises, or for a decor meant to change often.
What can you print on a wall?
Your artwork, provided it stands up to large format: photograph, illustration, pattern, plan, text. A wall is looked at from close up, so a low-resolution file shows at once. We check your files before production and send you a proof. If the artwork does not exist yet, the studio creates it within your brand guidelines, and it then carries across to your other material.
